Dubfire专访：“我是要来中国传道的，Techno道。” Dubfire on Pizza and Paris
Q1: You regrouped Deep Dish in 2014 – what was it like working together again?
Q1: 在2014年的时候，你们重组Deep Dish，重新在一起的感觉如何？
A1: Sharam and I had been working together for a long time before we chose to go our separate ways and we had always left that door open to collaborate again. The time apart was a much needed creative break from one another and as we each achieved more solo success then we had ever imagined, coming back together after nearly 8 years apart was quite fun.
A1: 在决定分开发展前，Sharam和我已经在一起工作很多年了。我们一直保留着重新回到一起的可能性。也许分开的这段时间是我们双方都非常需要的，大家也能够看到就算我们分开也分别获得了不错的成绩，并且得到了超过我们想象的新灵感。所以8年之后重新站在一起，是一件非常有趣的事情。
Q2: Do you and Sharam ever eat thin-crust pizza, or are you strictly deep dish?
Q2: 你们两个吃薄边的Pizza吗？还是只吃“厚”Pizza？(deep dish有厚底pizza的意思）
A2: I try to stay as healthy as possible these days, so I prefer a healthy THIN CRUST pizza! LOL!
A2: 我尝试着保持健康的生活方式，所以我更愿意吃薄边Pizza！哈哈！

Q3: It's been a couple of years since your last solo release. What have you been up to and have you got new music on the way?
Q3: 距离你上次个人发行已经将近两年了，近期有什么发行计划呢？
A3: I’ve recently begun work on my debut artist album, together with fleshing out concepts for a matching live show. That will take some time so in the meantime, I’m still mainly focused on the current worldwide dubfire: liveHYBRID tour. There will also be a comprehensive retrospective album comprising my decade as a solo artist and the numerous productions and remixes I’ve done. That will be preceded by my next single with Miss Kittin entitled “Ride” along with yet another retrospective album which pulls together the amazing collaborative run I had with Oliver Huntemann from 2008 until this year. There will also be a new single from us called “Humano.” So there’s quite a bit of new material, along with the odd remix, which will see the light of day this year.
A3: 我最近在筹备我个人的首张艺术专辑，和我们一种全新的Live理念一起推出。这会花掉我们不少时间，但是目前我的精力大部分集中在dubfire: liveHYBRID的巡演中。我还在计划发布一张合集，包括我的个人创作和一些Remix作品。在此之前还会有一首全新单曲发布，是和Miss Kittin合作的“Ride”。这首歌将会放在2008年以来与Oliver Huntemann合作的歌曲合集当中。我们也会再发行一首新单曲“Humano”。所以现在有很多很多新的素材和一些千奇百怪的Remix，这些都计划在今年内发布出来。
Q4: If there was a (dub) fire in your house, what 3 things would you save?
Q4: (你命中属火)如果你家着火了，让你选择三种你会从家里带走的东西，你会选择什么？
A4: My DJ / studio laptop and passport is pretty much the only thing I need to sustain myself and rebuild from :-)
A4: 我的DJ设备，护照就是我需要拿走的仅有的东西。拥有这两个，我很快就能重振旗鼓。
Q5: 在今年早些时候，你和Richie Hawtin是怎么想到要在墨西哥的一个卷饼小餐吧表演的？
A5: We are both avid gastronomes as well as being technophiles so why not put the two together? It not only served to celebrate Mexican gastronomy at one of our fave taco spots but gave many who otherwise maybe couldn’t make it to our individual shows during The BPM Festival to witness something spontaneous and free.
A5: 我们两个都是对于美食毫无抵抗力的人，同时也都是技术爱好者，为什么不能把我们放在一起？除了想要在我们最喜欢的墨西哥卷饼餐馆庆祝我们爱吃的这款小卷饼以外，也是为了让更多也许没有机会在BPM Festival现场看到我们表演的人，能够免费观看到我们的现场表演。

Q6: Can you explain to our readers what your hybrid live concept is?
Q6: 你能给读者解释一下hybrid Live的概念吗？
A6: Dubfire:liveHYBRID is the name of my debut live show which I’d been working on for the better part of 2 years beginning in early 2013. It’s the culmination of a lot of hard work with a very talented team of collaborators that I've assembled. The show is a unique audio-visual experience that captures the essence of my sound, backed by 2D and 3D rendered visuals, creating an immersive virtual experience. So far the reactions and reviews have been great and I’m very proud of what my team and I have been able to achieve together.
A6: Dubfire:liveHYBRID是我从2013年就开始一直在筹划的处女Live Show，在这儿有很多有才华的团队汇集在一起，克服了很多异常艰难的问题。这个演出将会给听众带去不同寻常的声音和视觉刺激，可以说是传播着我对于声音理解的全部精华。整个演出使用了2D与3D影像作为支持，打破以往在现场表演的禁锢，诱惑着人们从有限的世界深入到无限的思考当中。到目前为止，我们获得的反馈与评价都非常好。我对于我们一起打造的成果感到非常骄傲。

冰桶挑战
Q7: How did you get Paris Hilton to do the ice bucket challenge with you?
Q7: 你们是怎么把Paris Hilton邀请过来参加你们为ALS募捐的冰桶挑战的？
A7: That was another spontaneous moment that came out of a dinner in Ibiza I was at with Richie Hawtin and Skrillex. Individually we each wanted to do our part to raise awareness about ALS and someone at the table mentioned that Paris was at Amnesia that night. We’re all friends with her so immediately thought that she would be the perfect one to dump the ice and then bombarded her with text messages till she said yes. It was great fun!
A7: 我和Richie Hawtin，还有Skrilles正在Ibiza吃饭的时候，这件事就顺其自然的发生了。我们每一个人都在想应该参加ALS冰桶挑战，来帮助患有肌萎缩的病人募捐。正好有人提到Paris Hilton那一夜正在Ibiza的Amnesia放音乐。我们与她关系很好，当时所有人都在想：她是最适合往我们脑袋上倒冰的人。于是就给她发了个短信，她就答应过来帮助我们完成这次挑战。特别有趣！
Q8: What have you got in store for your Beijing set at TekNest?
Q8: 你为北京的TEKNEST做了什么样的准备？
A8: Sadly, China has always been struggling with underground music and events, favoring the extreme end of “EDM” over everything else so when I got approached to do TekNest and saw the lineup, I didn’t hesitate one minute to assist my other esteemed colleagues on the bill to do my part in spreading the gospel of techno. And I am very much looking forward to it as I think that this is something many of the fans have been waiting for eagerly for quite some time!
A8: 很不幸的是，在中国，地下音乐和亚文化始终在摇篮里成长，并没有得到很好的发展。广大人民群众更热衷于被EDM的拍子洗脑。所以当我收到TEKNEST的演出邀请，并且注意到演出阵容的时候，我和我的同事们都很激动。于是我们毫不犹豫的就与TEKNEST确定了我的出席，去传递真正意义上的techno声音。我非常期待这场演出，同时我也相信有许多的中国粉丝也已经期待这样的演出很久了。
就在2016年9月15人，dART年度巨制TEKNEST的开场演出。Dubfire将会携带他的团队空降京城，为所有热爱纯粹的电音的人们带来一场无与伦比的听觉盛宴。以世界级DJ的水准，在北京引爆一颗Techno定时炸弹。也许十年后的今天，无数中国年轻DJ将登上世界级舞台，接受采访的时候会说：Dubfire 2016年在鸟巢的演出，给我种下了Techno的种子。
